Help & knowledge base

Get from first login to useful trade review fast.

Short guides for setup, trade capture, Stripe billing, mobile use, and the planned local MCP bridge workflow.

01

Connect your data

Start with IBKR or demo mode. If the broker bridge is offline, TradeMCP keeps the UI usable with clearly labeled demo data.

02

Add or review trades

Use imported fills when available, or add trades manually. Review symbol, size, price, session notes, and rule tags.

03

Find your edge

Check win rate, drawdown, best setups, calendar behavior, and recurring mistakes before the next session.

FAQ

Common questions

What is TradeMCP?

TradeMCP is a trading journal for tracking fills, reviewing decisions, and turning session data into clearer trading feedback.

Do I need IBKR connected?

No. IBKR improves automation, but the app can still run with manual entries or labeled demo data while a connection is unavailable.

Why do I see demo data?

Demo data appears when live broker data is unavailable or when you load sample trades during onboarding. It should always be labeled.

How do I change my plan?

Open Settings, then Subscription. Paid plans use Stripe Checkout and the Stripe billing portal.

Where do I send feedback?

Use the in-app Feedback & Support area, the public feedback page, or the support ticket dashboard when signed in.

Can AI place trades?

Not in the planned safe default. MCP and broker features should begin read-only, local-first, and approval gated.

Troubleshooting

When something looks off

IBKR offline

Keep reviewing the journal with demo/fallback data, then reconnect the broker bridge before relying on live account state.

Checkout cancelled

No charge was made. Return to Settings > Subscription and choose a plan again when ready.

Storage feels full

Export older journal data to CSV, then archive stale local entries before importing more history.

Mobile layout feels cramped

Use the bottom navigation for core app sections and report any overlapping panel through Feedback & Support.

Still stuck?

Send feedback or open a support ticket from inside the app so the team gets the right account context.
